Gregory W Kalmar II, Esq.

Mr. Kalmar is a graduate of New York Law School. He possesses a broad legal background with more than 13 years’ experience in criminal, family personal injury and real estate law. He is a persuasive individual possessing strong negotiating skills, oral and written communication skills as well as a background in business. He has a history of success in the courtroom as well at the negotiating table. Mr. Kalmar has the ability to assess all issues and to adequately protect his clients. Mr. Kalmar sits on the board of the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association, he is a member of the Huntington Lawyers Association and he participates as a guest speaker at Touro Law School.

Brian Murtha, Esq.

Brian joined Suris and Associates, P.C. in 2017

Mr. Murtha graduated from Auburn University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2009.  Shortly thereafter, Mr. Murtha went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.  Mr. Murtha has a background in litigating numerous areas of the law, including but not limited to; personal injury, commercial litigation, town code litigation and defense matters.  Since joining Suris & Associates in 2017, Mr. Murtha has assisted in managing all aspects of the firm’s personal injury and commercial litigation cases from conception to conclusion.

Mr. Murtha is a member of the New York Bar Association and is admitted to the United States District Courts; both Eastern and Southern Districts.  Mr. Murtha utilizes his practical approach in analyzing aspects beyond the confines of the CPLR to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients, all while tirelessly litigating to defend their rights.

Crystal Young, Esq.

Crystal joined Suris and Associates, P.C. in 2015

Crystal Young, Esq. is the Managing Attorney for the Real Estate Division of the firm.  With over fifteen years of experience in the real estate industry, Ms. Young has represented numerous residential and commercial buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, investors and institutional and private lenders, in commercial and residential real estate matters.

Prior to applying to law school, Ms. Young worked for ten years as a paralegal, gaining valuable hands on experience at law firms.  With a full time work and school schedule, Ms. Young graduated from Touro Law School in 2013.

Since joining Suris & Associates, Ms. Young has also worked closely with the Personal Injury section of the firm, conducting witness depositions, arbitrating and mediating cases.  She has appeared before judges in the New York State Supreme Court and District Court and is admitted to the United States District Courts – Eastern and Southern Districts.

Ms. Young possesses superior networking skills and she is an active member in numerous organizations and networking circles, including the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, the Huntington Lawyers Club and the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.

Zandra D’Ambrosio, Esq.

Zandra joined Suris & Associates, P.C. in 2008

Zandra D’Ambrosio is the Managing Attorney. Ms. D’Ambrosio is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida. Ms. D’Ambrosio completed her Bachelors Degree in only three years from Hofstra University, where she repeatedly made the Dean’s List and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Ms. D’Ambrosio received her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where she was the Managing Editor of Family Court review and was published in the Family Court Review.

Currently, Ms. D’Ambrosio works closely with each paralegal and oversees each case from inception to resolution or trial. In addition to her management role with the firm, Ms. D’Ambrosio manages and maintains a large caseload. She is responsible for drafting the majority of legal documents in connection with the firm’s personal injury cases.

Ms. D’Ambrosio is a member of the American Bar Association and New York Bar Association.

Mr. Suris’ successful career as a respected attorney began in 1997, when he graduated from Touro Law School. Before starting his own career, Mr. Suris gained invaluable legal experience by clerking for the Honorable Michael L. Pesce, who is currently the presiding Justice of the Appellate Term for the second and eleventh Judicial Courts. Additionally, during law school and then as an Associate for 6 years following law school, Mr. Suris worked for Scalzi & Nofi, located in Melville, New York, where he gained insurance defense litigation experience. Mr. Suris’ experience at Scalzi & Nofi provided the strong foundation for the skills and techniques necessary for success in the defense and prosecution of personal injury cases.

In 1998, Mr. Suris was admitted to both the New York and New Jersey State Bars and with 6 years of experience in the insurance defense field, he started the law firm, Suris and Associates, P.C., focused on Plaintiff’s personal injury. Mr. Suris’ track record for success specific to this area of law is evident in the thousands of settlements and verdicts won on behalf of his clients and the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. In further support of his success, Mr. Suris was inducted into the Million Dollar Lawyers Forum for his consistent ability to secure multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients.


Mr. Suris was born and raised in Northport, New York and currently lives with his wife, Heather, in Smithtown, New York. As a native New Yorker with tremendous ties to the community and a dedication to his large family, Mr. Suris always finds the time to support several interests. With a passion for lacrosse that has been a significant part of his educational background since grade school, Mr. Suris is the co-founder of the Millon International Lacrosse Camp, which is the largest and most respected lacrosse camp for youth lacrosse players from all over the country. The Camp, now in operation for over 20 years, has grown tremendously and not only has a presence in the New York Community, but also, Massachusetts, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Mr. Suris’ energy and support of community does not stop there. In the summer of 2001, he was instrumental as a founding partner of the Long Island Lizard’s; Long Island’s professional outdoor lacrosse team, one team of many across the United States which are part of Major League Lacrosse. The MLL has a strong community presence across the United States and is supported by many organizations, most notably, ESPN, Budweiser, New Balance, Warrior Lacrosse, Under Armour, and Body by Jake.

In addition to his many personal interests and strong community support, Mr. Suris is also an active member of American Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Suffolk Bar Association and the Nassau County Police Reserves. His education continues yearly through Continuing Legal Education, Seminars and Lectures with specific reference to personal Injury Litigation and the latest Legal, Medical, Trial, and Technological procedures/ techniques and trends within the legal community.
